Moving Between Dimensions: 3D Printing Mastery with Eric Askue

We will be going over how to prepare models for FDM and SLA printers, different production lines, and things you never thought would matter. Going over the setup for statues, props, and articulation for your 3D prints. I will show you what it takes and how preparation can save you time and money moving forward with the collectibles industry. What does it take to go from digital to a print? This course will dive deep into the two more common printing methods. I will show you how to prepare your models for printing and production. You will also learn what you should look for to make the printing method flow with the least amount of difficulty. Plus, I will show you how to overcome the limitations of printers and software.

Game Character Creation with Adrian Martuneac

In this 10 week course, Adrian will take you through the entire process of making a humanoid game-ready character from scratch.

You will start with some basic design rules and gathering references to help you sketch your character in your favorite 2D program or the one suggested for this course ( Clip Studio Paint ) or you could find a good concept. For this, Adrian will provide a template with good proportions that will fit the rest of the process.

Next, Adrian will show you a solid workflow in ZBrush and provide a 3D template for correct proportions to model the high poly version of the character.

You will retopologize, UV, and texture the model in 3D coat after which we'll take it into Maya where we will rig and skin the character on the provided skeleton.

By the end of the course, you will:

Know some character design basics
Learn about rapid-concept for production
Be able to model, texture, and prepare your character for a game engine
Know how to work with a basic unreal engine 4 project (3rd person)
